The Auckland Polo Club was one of the first polo clubs to be formed in New Zealand.  Indeed early records show that in 1890 Auckland lost the first Savile Cup - the oldest sporting trophy in New Zealand.   We have  since won the Savile Cup a total of seven times.

The Club is based in Clevedon in South Auckland.  Our home is the magnificent Fisher Field, set amongst the gum trees on the banks of the Wairoa River.  The Club has a full time manager and groundsmen during the season and runs polo at least four times a week.

The Auckland Polo Club is affiliated to the New Zealand Polo Association.

The  Club has a busy schedule of tournaments throughout the season, the highlight being the New Zealand Polo Open, run each February.  This event attracts some of the best players both from New Zealand and overseas and offers magnificent hospitality opportunities for both corporate groups and private individuals.
